TLDR: We’ve visited this place several times now and have always been satisfied by the pleasant service, good food, and comfortable atmosphere. This visit, I ordered a PIGEON HILL BEACH PLEASE (sooo good and refreshing and I appreciated that they had it on tap). We ordered the Pork BBQ Nachos (Hand pulled pork tossed in hickory house BBQ, covered in cheddar cheese and topped with lettuce, tomatoes, corn,red onion and black beans) and I am told that they were “gewd” 🤣. I ordered the Fettuccine Vodka Alfredo (A blend of northern Italian marinara and Parmesan cream sauce. With Chicken Scallopini, Shrimp - what I got 😎- or Blackened Atlantic Salmon) and it was delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, however, I felt like the shrimp were undercooked and I left a couple behind because the texture wasn’t good/edible. The bread that the pasta was served with, though?? I didn’t expect there to be garlic toast and it was probably the best I’ve ever had! The parents ordered the Beer Battered Cheese Curds (they weren’t as hungry as we were) and I had one to try, and holy cow were they good! The best cheese curds/cheese sticks/cheese anything as an appetizer I’ve ever had. I’d highly recommend these! We’ve been here before; we’ll be here again. Make sure to cook the shrimp a bit more, kitchen! 🙏
It's a rare day that a restaurant is truly perfect. From the waiting staff to the food, to the atmosphere, Hobos can't be beat. Ask for server Trinity, she's the best!
Came in at dinner rush yet was seated promptly and waited on like we were a priority! That's a great feeling! Food was out without much of a wait and was fantastic. Portions were enough to justify the expense as we were able to take doggy bags with us for a late night snack. Very pleased with our experience. Thank you!
Fantastic Valentines dinner at Hobo's tavern. The Petite Filet with onions on top, melted in my mouth. Best steak I have had since sailing Royal Caribbean and eating at Chops Grill at sea. Pricing on point, around $60 or two. Great waitstaff that checked on us multiple times and kept our drinks filled up. Thanks for a great meal!
Lauren Heikkila Was EXCEPTIONAL!!! I absolutely love the service my friend and I had received from her today. She was very attentive to our needs, answered all of our questions, and really knew the menu, which I appreciate. I’m new to the area so I’m grateful she was able to help me dial in the meal that turned out to be an excellent choice! Great staff pick and kudos to whomever hired her!!! She really made our entire experience today. I hope she gets recognized for this and can’t wait to check back in with management that she was. Will definitely be back asking for her! Haha!
I just had a baby today and wanted something better than hospital food. So we called and ordered a pick up. Once my husband got there, he was greeted with extras and a gift we were not expecting. Thank you so much Hobo’s team. We absolutely love this restaurant and we love everything that the restaurant and team has to offer!!
Great food and a fair price. Appetizer: Pretzel with beer cheese was solid. Good beer cheese and pretzel was baked perfectly Dinner: surf and turf. Fish was excellent and pulled pork was even better Dessert: shared the crème brûlée and strawberry shortcake. Hard to choose but one of the best brûlées I’ve had.
This place is great! There are basically 2 different types of restaurants side by side. One is fancy and the other is like a sports bar, with TV's and full bar, that is combined with steakhouse restaurant. The food is awesome and so is the staff. We did the combo dinner and had steak, which was cooked to perfection and fish which was excellent also. There is also a amazing center place between the 2 restaurants which is beach themed and has palm trees and water falls. Great place for drinks and talking with an appetizer. There is something for everyone here.
The service was prompt and friendly; the food was well prepared, hot, and served quickly; and the prices were average. The price to quality ratio was good overall. We are excited to have stumbled onto this place and excited to return with our friends. Heads up: The supplemental fee is added by default but can be avoided if one pays cash.
